Nikita’s Moment of Goodness: Alex and Nikita get Sarah out of Division

I don’t know about you but I’m enjoying the reimagining of this show immensely. I like that Nikita’s rogue and I’m really enjoying Alex as her mole. I want to see Nikita bring Percy down in a big way (which is a testament to Xander Berkeley’s slimy and convincing portrayal of him).

Alex has been forming emotional bonds with the other recruits (despite her best efforts) and this week she learns Sarah is slated for a suicide mission. She feels this girl is worth saving (to which Nikita replies they’re all worth saving) so they go to work. It’s easy for Nikita to get to her – don’t forget Division’s guard is down because they think she’s dead. But it’s hard for Nikita to keep a hold of her. Sarah turns out to be a better trained operative than anyone imagined. She’s got a secret – a five year old son – and she’s determined to keep her promise to him. After Nikita convinces Sarah she’d be doing him great harm by taking her son – living on the run, taking him away from the only family he’s ever known – they are able to let the world know the real culprit behind the failed bomb attack. Percy’s not happy but at least Michael confirms Sarah is dead. Very interesting. I like Michael more and more every week.

My junior moment of goodness is seeing Amanda offer Robbie the role of cleaner after he takes those guards out with absolutely no hesitation. Good stuff.
